INDUSTRY
Established profitable companies that build and/or offer products. Sustained profitability over several years and an opportunity for growth are more important than the specific industry. Preferences include light manufacturing and B2B distribution companies. Less interest in consumer retail or services, or food related businesses.
TRANSITION
It is expected that a transition period will be agreed to by both parties so as to provide assistance and allow for a smooth transfer of management control and ownership for the benefit of the seller, the buyer, employees, customers and suppliers.
FINANCING
We are prepared to make a substantial contribution from own funds and are qualified for a bank acquisition loan. This will provide the seller with a large down payment. Seller participation is expected in the financing of the sale.
MANAGEMENT
Major changes on the staff are not expected and prefer selected key personnel to remain with the business.
SIZE
Targeting annual sales of $2–15 million and/or cash flow (owner salary plus profit) of more than $500,000.
